MUL terraced foothills mark Single-origin coffee · foothills of the Himalaya

Coffee, carried down from the hills of Nepal.

We're a two-person, family-run brand sourcing rare single-origin coffee direct from Nepali co-ops — in Nepali, with no broker in the middle. The first bags land early 2027.

Why us

Most "Himalayan" coffee has never met the Himalaya. Ours has.

Bought in Nepali

Direct from the co-op

Ashmita was born in Kathmandu. Her family travels there yearly and negotiates with growers directly — no export broker between us and the farmer.

Genuinely rare

One of the world's smallest origins

Nepal grows only a few hundred tonnes of coffee a year. You won't find this on a grocery shelf — and we bring you a single lot at a time.

Paid fairly, locally

Money that reaches the grower

We pay through family bank accounts in Nepal, so more of what you spend reaches the people who actually grew the beans.

Our story

A family, two countries, one source.

Ashmita was born in Kathmandu. Taylor grew up in California. We married in Nepal, then again in the US — and somewhere in between, MUL was born.

mul (मूल) means source: coffee bought directly from the Nepali co-ops Ashmita's family has known for years, in their language, paid through accounts in Nepal. No broker, no mystery — an honest line back to the hill it grew on.
